Our mission at summerlunch+ is to provide delicious, healthy meals to students and to teach cooking skills that will last a life-time. This is an 8 week program that will take you through various activities and lessons to help you develop your cooking and food skills. The kitchen is where children can explore, create and learn while enjoying themselves. With our at home program, your children can thrive in an environment that they are already comfortable in.

This program aims to provide nutrition and food literacy to families in a variety of communities. Every week there will be a series of activities on the online learning platform along with recipes and meal kits. The meal kits will provide the family with all the ingredients necessary to cook the recipes. By cooking at home, the children will be exposed to new skills that they can develop over the summer. Live cooking classes will also be hosted over zoom to allow students to follow along and cook their meals with the summerlunch+ leaders.

Once you are registered for the program, there will be announcements made on the Google Classroom regarding the pick up locations and times. The pick-up times are largely based on the availability of the families, to allow them to have adequate access to the meals.
In some programs, you will receive a grocery gift card and a grocery list to do the shopping yourself.

Please let the summerlunch+ team know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions. We will try our best to provide substitute accommodations for those using grocery gift cards. All meal kits are fixed and cannot be modified at this time. We always encourage substituting ingredients and making recipes your own as needed! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at summerlunchprograms@gmail.com.
